July 13, 2022 (Cookeville, Tenn.) – Averitt Express, a Tennessee-based provider of freight transportation and supply chain management, recently announced several changes to its compensation packages, including an historic pay increase for its less-than-truckload (LTL) group, a new guaranteed weekly minimum for its regional and flatbed drivers, and a shorter waiting period in receiving benefit coverage for new hires.

The new LTL pay increase, one of the largest in Averitt's history, went into effect in May for driving associates but also covered some other positions in the group.
In addition to the changes in pay, Averitt also shortened its waiting period for benefits to just 30 days. This change applies to all full-time new hires and rehires and includes coverage for benefits such as medical/dental/vision insurance, FSA/HSA, 401(k), company provided life insurance, and holiday pay. In addition, associates can enjoy paid time off after 90 days rather than a full year. The company’s generous profit-sharing plan applies to both full- and part-time associates.
