Drivers, dock workers and other frontline associates that handle freight will be provided multiple masks to assist in reducing the potential to contract or spread the novel coronavirus.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Over the course of 2019, Averitt Express associates combined to give more than 6,000 hours of community service as part of its Team Up Community Challenge. Overall, they served 6,161 hours, with 94 facilities across Averitt’s system helping 210 organizations for efforts including clothing, food and toy drives, disaster relief, litter cleanups and blood donations.

Setting yet another record for its largest-ever donation, truck drivers and other associates of Averitt Express raised $1,000,001 in 2019 that was recently donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Averitt Express has opened a new distribution and fulfillment center in Atlanta, GA. Located just minutes from downtown and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the facility encompasses nearly 140,000 square feet of enclosed space to receive, manage, and distribute freight and inventory.

Averitt has been awarded the First Place LTL Fleet Safety Award from the Tennessee Trucking Association (TTA). Presented at the TTA 89th Annual Convention, Averitt was also honored with the Third Place Truckload Fleet Safety Award.
